CERMES


The CERMES (Centre for Medical and Health Research) is a public establishment for science and technology supported by the French cooperation.

This institute was created in 1978 and joined the Institut Pasteur International Network in 2003. It operates under the authority of the Ministry of Public Health in Niger.

Research:

- Bacterial meningitis (meningococcus, pneumococcus)

- Malaria (transmission, drug resistance, morbidity)
- Health, environment and climate (factors of epidemic risk)
