Three studies will be carried out in 2009-2010:
§ Field evaluation of rapid tests on reagent strips for diagnosis at the bedside of patients with meningococcal meningitis caused by serogroups A, C, W135 and Y in Burkina Faso and Mali
§ A study in Niger and Burkina Faso of the CSF samples taken from subjects reported to the monitoring system and considered to have meningitis but whose normal laboratory examinations are negative
§ Study of the after-effects of meningococcal meningitis in Burkina Faso and Niger
